INGREDIENTS
- For the CAKE:
- 4 cups peeled & chopped apples
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup oil
- 3 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- For the FROSTING:
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 stick margarine
DIRECTIONS
- Mix cake ingredients by hand, then spread in a 9” x 13” pan.
- Bake at 350 F for 35 to 45 minutes or until tester in center
comes out clean. - While cake is baking, prepare frosting. Combine frosting
ingredients in saucepan. - Bring to a boil and allow to boil for 4 minutes.
- When cake is ready, pour frosting over cake.
- Return cake with frosting to oven for 4 minutes.
