A grandmother of 12, Dissie is currently seeking assistance for her adult children and her grandchildren as they navigate the rising costs of basic necessities. She champions The Salvation Army every day, donating goods when she can and encouraging others to reach out for help when they need it.

Dissie appreciates the material assistance, but for her, it’s more than that. “I’ve donated, and I’ve come here for help,” she says.
